EAL Level 3 Certificate In Installing, Testing and Ensuring Compliance of Electrical Installations in Dwellings (SE) (600/7695/1))
This qualification meets the minimum qualification level for qualified supervisors responsible for electrical work in domestic properties subject to Part P of the Building Regulations (England and Wales). It will provide the learner with the skills and knowledge needed for ensuring the safety, quality and technical standard of the electrical installation work carried out by the enterprise. The qualification comprises knowledge and performance within ‘combination units’.
What are the pre-requisites?
Learners must have the maturity and potential ability to meet the requirements of the assessment criteria for each learning outcome of the qualification units
Learners must have the minimum levels of literacy and numeracy to comply with the health and safety aspects of the scheme, the completion of the learning outcomes and the external assessment.
C&G 2393 Part P Building Regulations Level 3
The government approved document P (electrical safety) came into affect on the 1st January 2005. For the first time the mainstream work of domestic electrical installers became subject to the requirements and procedures associated with Buidling Control.
Domestic electriians need to appreciate the requirements that apply to building work they carry out in connection with their electrical work, and they need to uderstand the way that Building Control works and the procedures that need to be followed.
The primary aim of this knowledge based level 3 qualification (City & guilds 2393-10) is to gain an understanding of how electrical installation in dwellings must comply with all relevant Building Regulations.

The aim of this electrical training course is to gain familiarity with the layout, content and application of the BS 7671 (2018) 18th Edition Regulations. The IEE Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) are the definitive standards for the electrical industry in respect of the safe use and operation of electrical equipment and systems. They form the requirements and operating criteria for the UK and correspond to EC standards and are recognised by British Standards (BS 7671).
