The foundation of the KNX system is the KNX bus line – a green cable which is installed together with the conventional mains supply during new construction or renovations. In this way, the various home technology elements are joined in accordance with the KNX standard for building automation.
The cable is expanded with corresponding sensors, alarm devices, and displays which enable the control of all KNX devices via the bus line – simply and conveniently.
The Gira KNX system is a long-term solution – but it is anything but static. Once it has been installed, the system can be expanded or reprogrammed easily: The system adapts to individual requirements whenever lifestyles or working conditions change. The KNX system can also be retrofitted without annoying noise or dirt with the Gira radio bus system. For this purpose, Gira offers a broad product range of devices and functions so that even very specific requirements can be easily realised.
In addition, the Gira HomeServer allows the direct integration of systems from other manufacturers. Whether in the kitchen, sanitary, or entertainment sector, occupants can choose an even more personal and convenient design for their living spaces using systems from Revox, Miele, Dornbracht, etc.
